This might be one way to keep up with the amount of TV coming your way
in the next few months.

I had this idea to try to count all the programming you could see in the fourth quarter of this year — not just primetime and streaming shows, but all the sports, news, late night and kids programming that was going to premiere in the next few months.
That quickly proved to be an overwhelming task. I had pitched it first to my editor at the Hollywood Reporter, then after a couple of days I realized I couldn’t pull it off at that scale in any kind of reasonable time frame. I might still try something along those lines for 2027, but I need to think more about how I’m going to try to come at it.
What I decided to do here, then, is a slightly less ambitious version of that original idea. Even if I’m not counting every last show, I think you’ll get an idea of the sheer tonnage of shows getting thrown at you in the next two months and change before the year ends. Peak TV may be in the past, but there’s still an overwhelming amount of stuff to watch.
The numbers below come from … a lot of counting, mostly. I looked at a few premiere date calendars to get a good estimate of what’s on deck from now until December, then delved into some other areas to find other data about what’s coming.
So let’s get to it.
