It’s a “now back to our regularly scheduled programming” kind of week. The World Cup has ended (Spain fully deserved its second title after throttling Argentina for essentially the entire game), and — for late July, at least — a pretty healthy of series and movies will premiere in the next seven days.
Before the dates, a roundup of some news from late last week:
• Chloe Fineman is leaving Saturday Night Live after seven seasons, she announced via social media on Thursday. It’s the first cast change but maybe not the last before the show goes into its 52nd season.
• Prime Video will recast the lead in its series based on the God of War video games after Ryan Hurst, who was playing the role of Kratos, was injured on set. That’s a tough one for Hurst, who has been good in a lot of things (most notably Sons of Anarchy) but has rarely been a series lead.
• One more soccer thing: Telemundo has landed Spanish-language rights to air UEFA men’s competitions, including the Champions League and Europa League, starting with the 2027-28 season — which means they’ll also stream on Peacock. It’s a big get for NBCUniversal coming off their huge World Cup.

Monday
• King of the Hill (Hulu): The full second season (10 episodes) of Hulu’s revival premieres, with Hank and Peggy settling into retired life in Arlen and more shenanigans from Bobby and the alley crew.
• Solo Traveling with Tracee Ellis Ross (Roku Channel)
Tuesday
• 8 p.m.: Kitchen Nightmares (Fox): Gordon Ramsay takes on a new set of dysfunctional restaurants.
• 9 p.m.: The Real Housewives of London (Bravo): A U.K. offshoot of the sprawling franchise makes its stateside debut after airing in its home country last year.
Wednesday
• 8 p.m.: Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (ABC): Larry David and Ben Affleck are the celebrity players in the season premiere.
• 9 p.m.: Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston (Nat Geo): Hiddleston hosts a docuseries that combines investigation of the buried city with what look to be fairly high-end re-creations of its downfall.
Thursday
• Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Paramount+): Season four of the show will (at least based on the trailer) get back to galactic adventures after leaning on some stunts in season 3.
• Ransom Canyon (Netflix): Season two for Netflix’s relatively chaste western romance drama.
• 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT: Stuart Fails to Save the Universe (HBO Max): The third spinoff of The Big Bang Theory is a sci-fi comedy following comic book shop owner Stuart (Kevin Sussman) who accidentally breaks the multiverse. Fellow Big Bang alumni Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn and John Ross Bowie also star.
• 10 p.m.: Impractical Jokers (TBS)
Friday
• 9:30 p.m.: Roast My Rental (HGTV): Leslie Jones verbally takes apart weird, ugly and creepy short-term rental houses, then tries to flip them into something better with the help of HGTV veteran Jasmine Ross.
Sunday
• 9 p.m.: The Walking Dead: Dead City (AMC/AMC+): Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) are at it again in what’s left of New York as the show’s third season premieres.
• 11:30 p.m.: President Curtis (Adult Swim): The great Keith David voices the title character of a Rick and Morty spinoff.
