This week is — how to put this diplomatically — not terribly exciting in terms of new TV offerings. There’s an intriguing new drama, Furious, coming to Hulu, and a couple of returning shows with decent followings are starting new seasons.
The weekend that just ended, however, included Comic-Con in San Diego. Here are a few bits of news from there:
• Prime Video set an Oct. 7 premiere date and released a trailer for Carrie, a series adaptation of the Stephen King novel from Mike Flanagan.
• HBO released a final trailer for Lanterns, the DC series starring Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre as two members of the Green Lantern Corps. Each teaser has leaned a little more successively into its comic-book roots, and this one goes even harder, introducing Sinestro (Ulrich Thomsen) and revealing the Manhunters as the bad guys.
• Also announced at Comic-Con, renewals for AMC’s Interview With the Vampire — which will undergo another title change and be known as Queen of the Damned in season 4 — and Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty spinoff President Curtis, which premiered over the weekend.

Premieres
Monday
• Furious (Hulu): Emmy Rossum and Lola Petticrew star in a drama inspired by the 1987 movie Black Widow, with Rossum’s FBI agent tracking a serial killer (Petticrew) seeking her own form of justice. The show comes from Liz Meriwether (The Dropout, Dying for Sex and New Girl) and has been getting good early reviews.
Tuesday
• 9 p.m.: Beat Shazam (Fox)
Wednesday
• Diarra from Detroit (Paramount+): Season two of the well-reviewed dramedy starring Diarra Kilpatrick moves to Paramount+, which absorbed its former home BET+ in a round of streaming consolidation.
• The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare (Netflix): The roughly 683rd true-crime show/podcast/documentary about the case.
• 10 p.m.: The Ark (Syfy): One of the very few original scripted series left on Syfy kicks off its third season.
• 11 p.m.: House of Stassi (Freeform): Former Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder is the center of this show. The full season streams on Hulu starting Thursday.
Thursday
• The Bombing of Pan Am 103 (Netflix): Conner Swindells, Merritt Wever, Peter Mullan, Eddie Marsan, and Patrick J. Adams star in a limited series about the investigation into the deadly 1988 bombing of a plane over Lockerbie, Scotland.
Friday
• Fightland (Starz): A former boxer (Howard Charles) gets out of prison and looks for revenge against a London crime syndicate. Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is among the executive producers.
Sunday
• Lioness (Paramount+): It’s season 3 for the Taylor Sheridan spy thriller starring Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman.
• 9 p.m.: The Librarians: The Next Chapter (TNT)
