As I mentioned in Sunday’s newsletter, it’s getting to be season finale time. Six network shows — five of them on ABC — will end their seasons this week, among them the 22nd season(!) of Grey’s Anatomy. A dozen or so season and series premieres and a bunch of specials are also on the way — but even though today is May the Fourth, no Star Wars-related material will be premiering on Disney+ (although The Mandalorian and Grogu hits theaters later this month).

In case you missed it, some news from the end of last week:

• Actors union SAG-AFTRA reached a tentative agreement on a new contract with studios and streamers on Saturday. Members still have to approve the deal, but assuming they do, it looks like there won’t be a repeat of 2023’s painful labor strikes. The Director’s Guild is set to begin its negotiations with studios on May 11.

• NBC canceled two shows, medical drama Brilliant Minds and mockumentary comedy Stumble, in a Friday news dump. They were both pretty low on the network’s ratings charts this season.

• Peacock is developing a drama based on the Long Island serial killer case, with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson executive producing. 50 also produced a docuseries about the case for Peacock.

Here’s what’s coming this week in the TV and streaming world. All times are ET/PT unless otherwise noted.

Premieres

Monday
• Lord of the Flies (Netflix) - A four-episode, British adaptation of the classic high school English class novel by William Golding hits Netflix today. Jack Thorne (His Dark Materials, Enola Holmes) wrote the show, which received very positive reviews when it aired in the U.K. in February.

Wednesday
Citadel (Prime Video) - Season two of the very expensive spy drama starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas arrives three years after the first season (with a couple of spinoffs/related shows in between). Matt Berry joins the action this time out.
The Other Bennet Sister (BritBox) - What if Pride and Prejudice, but centered on Mary, the “and Peggy” of Jane Austen’s classic novel? The show is based on a book by Janice Hadlow.
Worst Ex Ever season 2 (Netflix)

Thursday
The Terror: Devil in Silver (AMC+/Shudder) - The third season of AMC’s horror anthology is the first one not based partly on historical events. It’s about a guy (Dan Stevens) who’s wrongly committed to a mental hospital that may be home to the Devil himself.
MIA (Peacock) - A revenge drama from Bill Dubuque, co-creator of Ozark and writer of The Accountant.
Legends (Netflix) - It’s a big week for British imports, I guess. This one stars Steve Coogan in a based-on-real-life tale of British customs agents who went undercover in drug gangs in the 1990s.
• 8 p.m.: Jersey Shore Family Vacation (MTV) - It’s the final season.

Friday
Unconditional (Apple TV) — A mother fights to free her daughter after the daughter is arrested on drug smuggling charges in Moscow in this Israeli series making its stateside premiere.
RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars season 11 (Paramount+)
Amadeus (Starz) - Hey, another British show! This one’s a five-episode series based on Peter Shaffer’s play, previously made into an Oscar-winning 1984 movie. Will Sharpe and Paul Bettany star.
• 8 p.m.: Deadliest Catch (Discovery)

Thursday
• 8 p.m.: 911 (ABC) - The season 9 finale will follow up on last week’s cliffhanger, which saw Athena (Angela Bassett) shot by a dirty cop. The finale of spinoff 911: Nashville follows at 9 p.m.
• 10 p.m.: Grey’s Anatomy (ABC) - This one gets its own mention, because the season 22(again, !) finale will be the last episode for long-time cast members Kim Raver and Kevin McKidd.
